Wellness coming from the ground, Mai 2005

The "Panoramahaus" is located close to the exhibition centre of Dornbirn in Vorarlberg (Austria). The building will contain the biggest beauty and fitness facilities in the area, numerous related service providers and a hotel of the Sheraton chain.

To heat and cool the gross floor area of 31.600 m², 357 foundation piles were used as energy piles. In September 2005 the piles will start to operate and will extract a yearly total of 1.6 GWh heating energy from the ground. With the same energy 160 modern one-family houses could be heated for one year.
